Yorkshire-based industrial gaskets specialist Klinger is to exhibit for the
first time at this year’s Farnborough
International
Airshow.
Klinger, which earlier this year announced its aim to become a leading
supplier to the dynamic aerospace and defence
industry, will use the iconic global aviation
event as a platform to showcase its industry
leading gasket
technology.
Between 19- 25th July, close to 1500 exhibitors from the private, commercial, civil
and military sectors will
showcase and
demonstrate aircraft, equipment and technologies.
Already the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of quality sealing products for the
global oil and gas industry,
Klinger is investing more than £3 million in new technology to
meet the bespoke requirements
of the aerospace and
defence sector.
Alan Bates, Managing Director, comments: “Our continued investment in skilled engineers
and operators, technology,
research and plant, has been vital to meeting the stringent quality specifications of major global enterprises such as
Shell and BP to give us international market leadership in the oil and gas industry. Yorkshire made gaskets are now
in operation on oil rigs, gas platforms, refineries and chemical plants across Europe,
the Middle East, Far East and
Australia.
“We now aim to achieve that same market leadership in new and emerging markets,
primarily in aerospace and defence.
We plan to build and expand on our already existing
international client base, which will enable us to grow and develop
further.”
Klinger has invested in the latest optical measuring equipment, water-jet cutting
technology and high-precision knife-cutting
equipment to meet the bespoke requirements
of the sector.
Employing 130 specialist engineers, operators and support
staff, the Yorkshire
team manages distribution partnerships
across the UK and in more than eight countries,
including Kazakhstan, Egypt and Qatar.
Klinger will be exhibiting in Hall 4, Stand FT2.
